Senior Dance Team

SENIOR DANCE TEAM:  Students age 13-18

Congratulations! 

The enthusiasm of each of our dancers who auditioned for Senior Dance Team was inspiring.   Thank you for working hard and giving us your best.  The results are as follows: 

1.   Principal Dancers are students who have demonstrated a high level of technical and performance skill and will be highlighted in choreography:

Jenn Brisebois, Brooke Duarte, Shaina Patel, Andrea Sarasin, Autumn Tierney, Rachel White

2.  Ensemble Dancers are students who have demonstrated proficient technical and performance skills for full participation in the Dance Team and will be included in all group choreography:

Maddie Cutler, Shelby Desmarais, Leslie Drew, Abby King, Darby Shaw, Isaiah Silvia-Chandley

3.  Understudy/Apprentice Dancers are students who have the quality of technique and performance to participate in the team classes and understudy choreography but will not be included in competition until further evaluation and technical improvement.   A conference with Miss Kathy and Miss Amy is required before acceptance into the class to understand the conditions of their participation:

WEEKLY TEAM CLASS:

$30 Monthly Participation Fee Oct-June
Students accepted by audition will be required to attend a weekly Senior Dance Team Class Fridays 5:30-7:00 for the entire school year. During that class there will be focus on precision, choreography for competition, and all aspects of working as a team.  The monthly fee will cover all training costs for the team group numbers except the Extra Costs indentified below.

EXTRA COSTS:  Additional fees will be assessed for costumes for competition, entry fees, students wishing to do additional choreography for any pieces other than the group team pieces such as solos, trios, duos and small groups, and any and all travel expenses.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be on a Dance Pass; Silver or Gold.
  • Must take at least Two Ballet and One Modern Dance Class per week and must be dancing at Intermediate level or higher.
  • Must enjoy the rigors of working hard, taking correction, and having the maturity to understand and respect the assessments of the adjudication process.
