Tap & Ballet

This class combines the fundamentals of tap dance and the basics of ballet to introduce children to the joys of rhythmic movement and the elegance and magic of ballet.  Age appropriate work is introduced in both disciplines each week that develops the young dancer in a fun, creative and systematic way.  

Students should meet the minimum age requirement of the class by September 30th.  For Example:  If a child has already had their fourth birthday we generally recommend taking the 4-5 year old class, etc.  If any questions, please speak with instructor.

DRESS CODE

Hair must be properly secured and tied up off of the face and neck.

Girls:

  • Any color leotard
  • Light colored tights
  • Pink leather ballet shoes and black tap shoes
  • Short dance skirts are permitted
  • Black patent tap shoes   

Boys:

  • Any solid color T-shirt
  • Black dance pants or sweatpants
  • Black leather ballet shoes and boy’s black tap shoes
