Modern

This class will explore the expressive nature of movement following in the footsteps of Modern dance pioneers Limon, Graham, Horton, and Cunningham, to name but a few.  Modern Dance is an opportunity for unlimited technical development and self-expression with diverse and interesting choreography.

DRESS CODE

Hair must be properly secured and tied up off of the face and neck.

Girls & Teen/Adult:  

  • Any primarily solid color leotard
  • Footless or transitional tights
  • No pants or skirts
  • Bare feet or open modern sandals
  • Tight dance shorts are allowed over tights

Advanced Modern

  • Black leotard
  • Black tights
  • Tight dance shorts are allowed
  • Students dance in bare feet, open modern sandals or Foot Undies
  • Secure ponytail or bun

Men/Boys

  • Black or white T-shirt
  • Black tights or dance pants
  • Students dance in bare feet or open modern sandals
