How to Choose the Proper Class
NOTE: When a student grows into the next age level it is not uncommon to repeat Beginner or Beg/Int class even if studying in the same style. For instance, a dancer who has had 1-2 years of ballet in the 6-8 year old division, may still qualify for only Beg to Beg/Int in the 8-12 category because the level of difficulty of the classwork has significantly increased. The same is true when moving from age 8-12 up to teen/adult. For instance, a Beg/Int class would require a student have several years of dance with a high level of execution of the fundamentals in that style and age category. For Intermediate or higher level in any age category, a placement class or permission of instructor is recommended. Any questions or concerns regarding the proper class, please inform the office and we will check with the instructor for proper placement.
